Here's the skinny: My name is Megan. I was born in Portland, Maine slightly more than two decades ago and remained there until I was 6. Then, we moved about 20 minutes away to Scarborough, Maine. It was a beautiful place, yet entirely to isolated. I spent the majority of my childhood in the natural surroundings, such as the ocean, the woods or the marsh. I still argue that the sunsets there are the best in the world.
When I had just turned 13, my parents and I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina. We left behind both my sister (age 21 and married) and my brother (age 19), who had been raised by their mother, my father's first wife. I lived in Raleigh until I started college. It's actually not a bad place if you ignore the horrid driving. I met some great people there, including my best friends Renata and Michael (who I'm linked to). Renata and I began volunteering at Snowflake Animal Rescue, where we still help out today (though not to the same extent). We also found a taste for comics and anime, and have joined anime clubs at our respective colleges.
I now attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I'm a 2nd year student and a junior; I'm an English major in hopes of becoming an English teacher. I have an incredible boyfriend, Nik, who I've been with for a year now, and I'm still bestfriends with Renata and Michael, though I've added Michelle and Jenni (another I'm linked to) to the list. I live in a condo my parents own and have way too many animals, though I love them all. I haven't had as much time for anime lately as I've been concentrating more on my studies and my relationship with Nik. I'm sure the rest of my site will complete the bio.

I'm a Student!
I'm a Junior (2nd year) at UNC. I currently am not working at an actual job, just crappy part time or temp jobs here and there. That's one thing with getting through undergrad in 3 years, you have to work hard. I managed to make Dean's List last semester, which is so far my biggest acheivement.
